Amy & Leigh; an Elopement Story {Coffs Harbour Wedding Elopement Photographer}.

At the end of the day they really only needed each other there. They already knew they were in it for the long haul but saying it in front of their children in many ways made it even more special. Amy & Leigh pulled off the most simple, relaxed & beautiful elopement. They didn’t even tell the kids until minutes before we took off for the beach. They made their own a celebration that can sometimes become more about other people’s wishes than those of the couple themselves. Leigh’s mum stood with them & although not physically the presence of both their fathers were there too. Alison was there as both a friend & celebrant & together the seven of us sat around on the beach sipping champagne & waiting for the sun to fall before they spoke their vows . Shooting more of these intimate moments would make me a super happy lady (just putting that out into the universe) 🙂

The Family Reithmayr Dobson

Liam & Sonny were really only due to be born around the time that I met & documented them & their beautiful family 🙂 Big sister Stella was doing a beautiful job in her new role & the boys were completely blissed out most of the time I was there, which is an absolute tribute to Lizzy & Matt. This session was such a fabulous way to draw the year to a close for me as it really is the exact path I hope to continue on next year; Documenting families in their own homes, doing the things they do everyday & finding the beauty in it. It is my privilege & pleasure.

Hanging out with these guys on their property for the afternoon was a really welcome change from documenting little people. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love babies & toddlers but it was nice not to have to make strange noises or pull faces to get someone to look at me. Refreshingly also, nobody had to go to the toilet half-way though & no-one required a snack break 🙂 🙂 The Pades are clearly a tight tribe & they were as easy, as funny & as nice to each other as siblings should be — a little bit of a ribbing is never a bad thing.

We had a walk around the farm, checked out the dogs, the chickens, the old paddock basher & the cows, which they swore were not giving me side-eye (I know they were). We finished up with a quick trip to the beach & were greeted with the most beautiful pink skies.

If my my four grow up to be as personable & humorous as this lot I’ll be a happy woman.

Monique & Nick – Wedding- Eagle’s Rest Valla {Coffs Harbour Wedding & Portrait Photographer}

Monique & Nick poured so much of themselves into their (largely) DIY wedding that they ended up founding a business in the process. When they couldn’t find the rustic wooden hire furniture they really wanted for their day Woodshop Weddings was born. The bouquets & arbour were all the work of the couple & their family & friends. The day was filled with special touches including Monique donning her mum’s wedding dress for some portraits before slipping into her own frock.

The pair’s care & eye for detail was evident for all to see. MORE evident than any of these details however was the beautiful love that Monique & Nick have for each other. It was an absolute privilege to be a part of their day.
