These guys have been a team for a long time. Alex & Dean have built a life together & this day was a celebration of all they have achieved & all that is still to come. Married in their hearts & now married in the law.
I am so lucky to be welcomed into the homes of families who really just want to be documented as they are. These guys have just expanded their hearts by one more & we hung out for an afternoon to capture it. Two very loved little boys live here <3
This was all about celebrating life & being grateful for just being. Cara is recovering both physically & mentally from her latest open heart surgery & wanted to capture all the feelings that come with it. We talked about everything from anxiety & fear to pride & faith in ones self. It was an amazing sunrise & I was pretty high all day from the energy & images we created. It was so still but so raw & real. More sunrise sessions & more portraits please – just putting it out there.
Cara was born with a congenital heart defect & her parents were told to take her home & enjoy whatever time they had with her because it would be a miracle if she lived past the age of six. Since her first open heart surgery at just three days old she has gone on to have four more during her young life. Now at 32 she is proving those doctors wrong every day. This crew will be adding one more to the team any day now & I’m just so happy for them. We caught up a couple of weeks ago to document what life looks like before three becomes four. Mikhayla & Jarwin are the most wonderful parents & their little people are very lucky indeed 🙂
Danielle, of Keeping Up With The Holsbys fame is an old school friend of mine & the timing of my recent Sydney trip was perfect for us to finally get together & document her family. Although I had never met Dex & Kiki before they immediately let me right in to their house & their worlds. It had been bucketing down in Sydney for over a week when I arrived & we luckily scored a small break between showers on the afternoon we had scheduled. I love shooting in Sydney City so much & Paddington is definitely a favourite spot. Free range sessions like this are what I live for. Thanks, Team 🙂
